An Introduction to Shakespeare and his World

Explore the performance conditions of the Globe playhouse: students are encouraged to respond to Shakespeare's plays as stories to be shared between actor and audience, and to experiment with the sounds and rhythms of Shakespeare's poetry and prose.

Workshops provide an introduction to Shakespeare's work and the Globe Theatre. Sessions can focus on any Shakespeare text selected for classroom study. The 90-minute session includes a guided visit to the theatre.

October to April: Monday to Friday at 10.30, 12.30 & 14.00
May to September: Monday to Friday at 10.30, 11.30 & 12.30

£7 per student (minimum charge of £150 per class)
Teachers free

We can accommodate up to 3 classes of 30 students at one time, subject to availability.

Full day visit

A Day on Bankside

This programme combines the workshop An Introduction to Shakespeare and his World (see above) with a guided visit to the theatre and admission to Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition.

Year round: Monday to Friday at 10.30-14.00 or 11.00-14.00

£10.50 per student (minimum charge of £225 per class)
Teachers free

We can accommodate up to 3 classes of 30 students at one time, subject to availability.
