Half day visit

Playing the Globe
A practical introduction to the performance conditions at the Globe and their influence on playing style and language. Sessions last 90 minutes including a guided visit to the Globe Theatre. Workshops on particular texts are available on request.

October to April
Monday to Friday
10.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm

May to September
Monday to Friday
10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm

Fee: £7.50 per student - minimum charge of £160
Teachers free
Can be combined with a visit to Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition + £3.50 per head
We can accommodate up to 4 classes of 30 students per day, subject to availability.

A Level Study Days

Study Days explore the Globe's unique relationship between actor, audience and architecture and examine how this relationship shapes the language and dramatic structure of Shakespeare's plays.

Each day includes the following:

  • An introductory lecture exploring the historical and social context of the Globe playhouse.
  • A guided visit to the Globe Theatre.
  • A visit to Shakespearess Globe Exhibition.
  • A 90 minute practical workshop exploring your choice of play in relation to the playhouse for which it was written.

Year round
Monday to Friday
11am - 3.30pm

Fee: £17.50 per student - minimum charge of £300 + £3.50 per head entry to the Exhibition.
