Shakespeare's Globe goes to Glyndebourne

Globe Education has created a partnership with Glyndebourne Education to present two full-day study events to look in-depth at Glyndebourne's Shakespeare inspired productions – Purcell’s The Fairy Queen (a version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Verdi’s Falstaff (an adaptation of The Merry Wives of Windsor).

Speakers to include: Jonathan Kent (Director), Laurence Cummings (Conductor), Andrew Pinnock and Bruce Wood (editors of the new Purcell Edition) with Professor Tony Howard (University of Warwick), members of the Globe Theatre Company and singers from the Glyndebourne Festival Opera.

Falstaff

Sunday 17 May

Speakers to include: Vladimir Jurowski (Music Director), Roger Parker (Verdi Specialist) with Russ McDonald (Goldsmiths, University of London), members of the Globe Theatre Company and singers from Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
